Throughout my field experience, I began to create and organize a self-care calendar that ensures I maintain a healthy schedule to take care of myself. From my experience as a pre-service teacher, time management and organization became apparent and important in maintaining physical and mental health. I use a self-care calendar to track the hours of sleep I get and if I do an activity to maintain my physical and mental health. The self-care calendar assisted in the development of healthier habits and mental breaks that will not only assist me in my career but also with any stressful events I encounter. Although it was difficult to start, using the self-care calendar will begin to be a part of my daily routine which will help relieve anxiety and stress.
