I believe that empowering students to reach their potential is the purpose of teaching. All learners have potential and, as an educator, I can make a difference to foster that potential.

When students feel valued within their class and community, deep learning can occur so it is important to develop inclusive communities by supporting student health and well-being through building relationships, encouragement, empathy, and respect. Furthermore, student-focussed teaching through interactive and inquiry-based learning activities and assessments will promote meaningful knowledge building in students to help them reach their potential. It is important to provide purposeful learning experiences that reflect the diversity of students which can be achieved by using adaptive assessment and instruction.
